What about a body you fully inhabit - top to toe - that can be perfectly still or move as desired at will, that you can count on to express character’s instinctive, unique physicality?

And a voice that’s flexible, fully supported, up to the vocal demands of the role?

And with those tools warmed up, confidently diving into the text: decoding it, physicalizing its journey, sounding its emotional depths?

Each session - whether individual or group - begins with a targeted physical and vocal warm-up, transitioning into textual monolog or scene work. And questions evolve into answers.

Then what?

To support that evolution: how do you evaluate your strengths and weaknesses, to make the best use of feedback and continue to grow as an actor? An important part of our work together is to develop objective evaluation skills.

Group classes run three hours each with a ten-minute break, once per week, three weeks per month. Monolog and/or two-person scene projectd usually change every other month. Classes are small enough - and affordable enough - for everyone to work at every session.

Individual coaching is available by appointment. Session fees are negotiated according to the material to be covered and length of time desired.

Students are welcome to free weekly Classical Workouts, three-hour open-stage evenings for working out the kinks, posing/answering questions, and generally inspiring comfort with the work.

Workshops in the wings:  Shakespeare Unbound (two- and three-day intensives), Sewing for Actors (covering basic costume repairs), Period Movement and Manners (a a three-hour workshop)
